Gauchos Invited to Nike Camps

Doron_lambBishop Loughlin sophomore Doron Lamb told reporters at the Rumble in the Bronx that he wasn’t certain which high school he would end up at next season. Rumors have him going to Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va.

“I don’t know,” he said.

The 6-4 Lamb listed St. John’s, Georgetown, Syracuse, Rutgers, Marquette, Kansas, Duke and Xavier among his potential schools.

Lamb’s Gauchos teammates Durand Scott of Rice and Tevin Baskin of Trinity Catholic will attend next week’s NBA Top 100 Camp, and a Gauchos coach said Lamb would also.

Lamb will also attend the Steve Nash Nike Skills Academy in Union, NJ in late June, according to a source.

Scott, a junior guard who lists most of the Big East and ACC as potential landing spots, and Jason Morris of Hotchkiss (Conn.) will attend the Paul Pierce Nike Academy in Los Angeles, which replaces the Kobe Bryant wing academy. Wouldn’t it be ironic if Pierce beats Bryant in the NBA Finals and then takes over his camp?

The official invite list has yet to be released but we’re told the following point guards have also been invited to Nash: Brandon Knight (Coral Springs Fla. Pine Crest/Uncommitted); Tommy Mason-Griffin (Houston Madison/Uncommitted); Leslie McDonald (Memphis Briarcrest Christian/North Carolina); Lance Stephenson (Lincoln/Uncommitted); Dexter Strickland (St. Patrick, N.J./North Carolina); and  John Wall (Raleigh N.C. Word of God Christian/Uncommitted).
