Despite Rutgers Recruiting Haul, Gonzo Still Confident

 

Gonzo_courtesy_shuSOUTH ORANGE — When last we saw Bobby Gonzalez and Fred Hill together, they were engaged in a Bill Belichick-style handshake that culminated a wild Big East regular-season finale in which Rutgers stunned Seton Hall on a last-second, off-balance 3-pointer by JR Inman at the Prudential Center.

 

 

More than two months after that infamous game, the man they call “Gonzo” finally owned up to his behavior.

 

 

“I take full responsibility for my actions,” Seton Hall’s Gonzalez said Wednesday. “I’m moving on from it. Period. It happened. It’s over with. I respect the university’s decision” to suspend him for the first conference game of the 2008-09 season.
